SearchCrude oil futures18th April 2006 NEW YORK - Crude oil futures closed at their highest ever level on the New York Mercantile Exchange amid concerns of a possible military conflict between the U.S. and Iran. Crude for May delivery finished up 95 cents at $71.35 a barrel. The contract set an intraday record for a front month contract of $71.60 a barrel.
